I began my coaching journey with Rox following a divorce.  I was also freshly into menopause, my youngest had just graduated from high school, I was starting a new job and I was taking on more and more responsibilities with care taking of an elderly parent. To say the least, I was overwhelmed, with so many changes occurring at once.

I initially set out to focus on health, eating well and just keeping myself into a good routine to get into and find a new daily routine in my life.  Through coaching and Rox’s mentoring and support, I was able to be more aware of the importance of caring for both my physical body and my brain better. Rox helped me find techniques and strategies to keep me on track.  Through our time together, we also worked on stress management and then discussions began to organically lead to overall life goals.

I would highly recommend Rox’s coaching to those who may be dealing with shifts in their lives, those who intentionally want to shift their lives and those seeking guidance, support and mentoring in a nurturing, safe and comfortable environment.

I was at a crossroads in my life and feeling like I had no direction. I had recently lost a professional position I had worked long and hard for, and I had no idea how to move forward. My confidence was low, and I was chronically depressed. I had seen a couple of counselors to try to improve my outlook on my situation and to get ideas how to not only move on but to flourish, and I wasn’t getting useful feedback or tools needed to move forward.

My coaching sessions have positively impacted my life in many ways. I feel inspired again, and my spark for life is back. I feel valuable and worthy of seeking joy and fulfillment personally and professionally. My self-perspective and feeling of self-worth and ambition have improved so much.

Coaching sessions with Rox couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I was able to discuss what I was experiencing and had conversations with her versus someone just listening and not providing tools for improvement. Not only did she conversate with me, but we discussed habits and practices to incorporate into my daily life to help me shift my perspective and included simple health practices, such as hydration and sleep goals. What I liked most was how warm, insightful, and genuinely caring she is as a person and as a healthcare professional.

I learned the importance of staying present in the moments in my life and to be mindful of self-care. I was also reminded that it’s okay to not have a master plan at all times. It’s okay to take a moment before regrouping to evaluate goals and dreams.

The results I have had from my experience is that I am kinder not only to myself but to others. I also have started journaling and that has helped me tremendously. I use a guided journal to help me with the process.

“Peter's insightful inquiry helped me be honest with myself about what was keeping me from pursuing the things I wanted to achieve. He helped me develop strategies to overcome limiting habits I had been struggling with for years. My coaching sessions with Peter have had a lasting impact because all the insights were earned through a kind of honest work that leads to a unique empowerment that I can’t help but continue to pursue.”

My name is Heidi, and I was very fortunate in the opportunity to participate with Roxanne as a Health Coach.  Honestly, when I first started and prior to starting I felt this was going to be more about me finding ways to deal with my weight and that was my only thought.  I didn’t think or would have ever thought there was a lot me that was broken that I needed to fix first.  Roxanne guided me, and I began to realize through this whole process there was so much more to my health and wellness than just my weight.

I was so negative with myself prior to the coaching sessions with Roxanne and lost; I was to the point where I didn’t have faith in myself.  I had a hard time balancing work, family, friends, and lastly time for myself.  Now, I take time for myself as that is a priority, I am not hiding behind working three different jobs, my family has seen me make me a priority and they have respected that even if it seems odd to them, and lastly, I am working setting boundaries where they weren’t before.

Roxanne has given me tools and advice that I can incorporate into my life that have helped me more than I could ever imagine.  Such as practicing meditation which is my favorite as I feel that helps me find peace and grounds me.  She has taught or shown me; to find the positive and not concentrate on the negative.  Early on in our sessions I got ill and normally I would have found the negative in that situation and given up on my progress but instead I didn’t let that setback determine or influence the road I was on and wanted to be on.  Roxanne always checked in on me if I needed anything more from her; she is there to help you every step of the way.  I never felt like I was on this journey by myself.

My weight, I am still working on that, and she has helped me with different meal ideas and plans; but I have faith now I can get there.  She has encouraged me with working out as I was scared to work out since it had been so long; she helped me set little goals to start out with and build from there.

I felt like I was a mess and had all but thrown my hands up in the air and given up prior to Roxanne and now I am not willing to accept defeat for myself.  Now, I want what is best for me whether it be setting up boundaries, health and wellness, relationships, or finding peace with myself.  I must take care of myself first and everything else will fall into place.

I feel like I have been through a whole journey with Roxanne, and I know in my heart I would still have the negative and a doom and gloom outlook if it were for her guidance and help along the way.

I would 100% recommend Roxanne’s coaching to anyone and everyone; she is very professional, non-judgmental, caring, and most importantly you can tell she truly loves what she does. She is an angel and my angel when I needed one more than I even knew.  I honestly have tears as write this because it is so true!

I am not broken anymore and thanks to Roxanne I know I can succeed in this journey.

I started working with Rox shortly after my breast cancer diagnosis. There was a lot to unpack physically and emotionally. Rox did a great job of starting each session off with mindfulness. It was a great way to bring your mind and body forward to start addressing the issue at hand for the week. Through this process, I was able to do a lot of introspective work and focus on keeping a positive mind while I work through my breast cancer journey.

When you go through a cancer journey your body is completely out of sorts on many levels. Rox was always working with me to get connected to people and resources to help my body make it through chemo in the best possible way. She is well connected to resources in Bismarck and is always willing to go the extra mile to seek out extra resources that you may be needing.

I would highly recommend working with Rox if you are wanting to reflect on yourself both internally and externally. This resource is one that anyone can benefit from.

So, my life basically was work, sometimes stop for a beer with our friends, go home make dinner, watch tv basically until bed. Repeat.

I am the type of person that always needs to be in control. So, most of the time when anything needs to be done it will be me. My husband gratefully offers but it was always too hard for me to sit back and not help etc. or have the feeling that it won’t be done right. I am also very impatient and easily agitated but life’s little hiccups or sometimes literally nothing.

I was diagnosed with 2 autoimmune disorders recently, so I have a lot of pain on a daily basis. I was always tired and didn’t really feel like doing anything that I know I need to do. EXERCISE!! I would probably rather go to the dentist because at least I got to lay back on a chair. (LOL). We even have a home gym that was not getting any use other than a storage room for clothes I keep piling up for donation. I used to read and crochet and haven’t really done much of that at all anymore. Seemed like work. Laying on the couch watching tv or scrolling through my tablet was much easier.

My husband and I are definitely a team. We both wanted a life “reboot”. We would both support each other in a healthier journey. So, then I got the opportunity to work with Rox. We would meet every 2 weeks roughly. She would even throw me a text occasionally to make sure I was behaving myself, remembering to breath, and remain calm. Breathing and remaining calm is very hard for me to do!! It is not in my DNA that’s for sure!

She brought me back to slowing down, putting away my phone/tablet and smell the roses. Dust off my lonely books and break out my crochet needles. My hubby and I have started our date night cooking dinner extravaganzas again and we both just love it. I even let him cook (with my assistance of course). Our home gym is a home gym again. I am starting slow on working out due to my conditions but even meditating and stretching is a start. Rox came up with a great plan for Chris and I to make it fun. 1 week, I will plan our work out routine and him the next. How fun is that!!

I think Rox coached me into being a better me but on my terms. A lot of times during our discussions the answers I have been looking for came out of my mouth because she got the words out of me. It’s like when you were a little kid and you needed someone to help you over the fence, that’s Rox!

Anyone that needs that little extra boost, no matter if that fence is low or high, you would benefit from Rox’s coaching.

I feel so much better, like weight has been lifted off. I can do this-I will do this. I am worth this.

I started this process not knowing what exactly to expect.  As a mom of 4 very busy kids and working full time, I was struggling to find time to take care of myself, to spend quality time with my husband and kids.  I was feeling overwhelmed and not able to catch up on the day-to-day activities.

Roxanne was so easy to talk to.  She really listened, and had many helpful suggestions. We would start each session with a mindfulness activity.  This was great to take a few minutes and really be present for the sessions.  We were able to discuss all aspects of my life and set some attainable goals.

Roxanne was a great help with giving me a gentle nudge to step out of my comfort zone.  She really made me dig deep and think about how to make things better and why I do the things I do.  She listened and held me accountable for the goals I did set.  She was also supportive of those goals that I decided to change and was able to help me pivot and form new options. When I accomplished these goals, I was able to free up some of my time so I was able to take some time for myself, work out a few times a week, and spend some quality time with my husband and kids.  I learned a few ways to keep myself organized and that the kids can help with this.  I also learned to manage some outside stress.  My sleeping is better, and I overall feel better after my sessions.

I really loved the mindfulness activities we would use to start the sessions.  I have used these in other aspects of my life as well, to really be present for the important things.

This was a lifechanging experience for not only me, but my whole family.  I feel me being in a better place, feeling better overall, and feeling less stress has helped me be a better parent.  I would recommend this to anyone and everyone I know.

At 75, I was unsure of what benefits I would derive from nurse coaching, being rather satisfied with myself!

My sessions with Roxanne opened my eyes to many parts of myself that were being “underserved”. For example, I put myself on a path to better physical wellbeing, something I well-knew how to do, but had been neglecting.

Working with Roxanne was very satisfying. We were not locked into a “now we do this, then that” type of relationship. We were able to have conversations in the midst of our coaching sessions, which made me feel very comfortable.

I would say overall that I am more in tune with what my body & being needs. I would recommend working with Roxanne to anyone of ANY age who wants to better their well-being.

I started my journey with Roxanne due to health issues and nerve pain.  I wanted to try to get some of my independence back by trying yoga stretches, increasing my physical activity and cleaning up my eating habits. She was helpful in providing me with facts on my condition. Gave me suggestions on what I should and should not eat based on medical research specific to my condition.  She was able to show me basic yoga stretches and provided me with ways to stay focused on my goals. She helped me through some setbacks but mostly we celebrated my many victories. I am thankful for her help. If you are looking for someone to help you get back on the right track, I would recommend giving Roxanne a try.
